La Matta

La Matta is a casual, characterful place in the heart of Messina, close to Piazza Duomo, with a kitchen focused on burgers, meat dishes and well-made fried foods. The setting is described as welcoming and distinctive, with a lively atmosphere that suits relaxed meals.

The most appreciated specialties are the burgers, the quality meat and the crispy, non-greasy fried dishes, together with filled sandwiches and pasta dishes such as strozzapreti with pistachio pesto. The cuisine combines a strong grill identity with some Sicilian references, in a simple and recognisable style.

The restaurant is especially noted for its careful preparation, rich menu and family-friendly character, making it a place with a clear culinary identity and an informal atmosphere.
